The structure of each strategic planning retreat will vary depending upon specific needs. Overall, key outcomes from our strategic planning meeting include:

  • having the strategic planning team members understand their roles as leaders to influence change and realize their vision, mission and goals,

  • assessing beliefs concerning specific internal and external factors that will influence strategic direction, and

  • defining and prioritizing initial strategic objectives, actions and accountabilities.

Often management tools, such as a S.W.O.T. analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) are completed before the first meeting. This encourages an open dialogue and expeditious way to focus on and prioritize critical matters.

Participants leave feeling energized and better equipped to collaborate as a team and turn a planned future into reality.

Listed is a brief summary of accomplishments realized with our strategic planning partners.

  • Christmas Tree Shops - Strategic planning sessions were facilitated for Senior Management, which included the development of their initial Mission Statement.

  • Massachusetts National Guard - Sessions were facilitated for two Adjutant Generals and the Senior Command.

  • Kennedy-Donovan Center - A mission statement, objectives and strategies were developed with thirty-one individuals for two, funded programs during one planning session.
